Job summary

Pueblo Elementary School in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Childcare Assistant for the Kids Club program. This full‑time role supports Pre‑K/Preschool teachers and staff in planning and supervising before and after school activities.

The position requires relevant education/credentials as listed and a DPS FPCC clearance. Compensation is hourly, with a two-shift schedule and non‑exempt status. Open to qualified applicants who meet licensing rules.

Qualifications

• Must meet staff qualifications to be a Facility Directors designee.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old and provide documentation for required credentials.
• N.A.C., C.D.A., C.C.P. or C.P.C. credential and 12 months of qualifying child care experience.
• Valid DPS FPCC clearance card required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pre-K/Preschool teacher with daily classroom operation.
• Assist with on-site operations including planning activities and supervising Kids Club or Early Bird.
• Maintain compliance with Arizona Department of Health Services rules and regulations.
• Establish rapport with students, staff, and community; keep teachers informed of activities.

Skills

Background in early childhood

Experience with school age/Pre-K

First aid CPR certification

High school diploma or GED

12 months child care experience + 3 credits in early childhood

30 hours training in early childhood

Associate degree in early childhood
