Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a Childcare Provider 2 to support the before and after school program. You will assist the Childcare Specialist with planning activities and supervise students in a safe, engaging environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining positive behavior, administering basic first aid when needed, and ensuring readiness of site and activities before arrival. Valid DPS FPCC and basic early childhood knowledge are expected; flexible hours reflect after-school

Qualifications

• Must meet staff qualifications to be a teacher-caregiver under AZ R9-5-401.
• Applicants must be 18+ and provide written documentation of one qualifying option.
• Options include high school diploma with experience, or college credits in early childhood with experience.
• Credentials such as NAC, CDA, CCP, or CPC are acceptable.
• Associate or bachelor degree in early childhood or related field is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with students, employees and community.
• Prepare site and activities before children arrive.
• Supervise the children at all times.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Treat every child with respect.
• Maintain behavior standards per district policy.
• Keep the Childcare Specialist informed of activities.
• Share and participate in clean up activities.
• Complete 18 verifiable hours of approved training annually.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

12 college credits incl. 6 in ECE + 6 months experience
