Job summary

Wadsworth Buehler's Fresh Foods is seeking a Beer & Wine Lead to manage beer and wine sections on the sales floor. You will be responsible for ordering, stocking, merchandising, rotation, pricing, and inventory control while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires knowledge of beers, craft beers, and wines, plus strong communication and teamwork. Availability for 35+ hours per week including nights and weekends is essential; physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in Beer/Wine department preferred.
• Knowledge of beers, craft beers, and wines preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage inventory and rotation.

Responsibilities

• Order beer and wine products and stock shelves.
• Set pricing, rotate stock and maintain display merchandising.
• Perform backstock control and inventory record keeping.
• Maintain scanner equipment and store housekeeping in the beer/wine area.
• Provide customer education and engage in suggestive selling.

Job description

BEER & WINE LEAD: Hourly Lead person working in the Beer & Wine Section. This person's primary duties include ordering, stocking, pricing, rotation, merchandising, record keeping, inventory [Backstock Control], scanner maintenance, housekeeping, and customer relations on the salesfloor including showing proficient skills at suggestive selling.Secondary duties assume related activities as required or assigned with an emphasis on consumer education and suggestive selling.

1. Availability: Must be available to be scheduled 35+hrs a week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
2. Previous Work Experience: Previous experience in the Beer and Wine department, and an extensive knowledge of beers and craft beers, and wine knowledge is preferred.
3. Physical Demands: Repetitive lifting to 50#; occasional lifting to 80#.
