Job summary

UNAVAILABLE is seeking a Beer Den/Wine Clerk to assist guests with beer and wine selections, conduct tastings and keep the Beer Den/Sunmill Wines well stocked and inviting. You will educate customers on product attributes, maintain displays, and ensure compliance with state laws for sampling and sales.

Qualifications

• Experience with beer and wine products.
• Familiar with ALE laws governing sale and purchase of beer and wine.
• Sales minded with strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and reliable work ethic.
• Able to follow guidelines and work with others.
• Able to read and follow information and directions.
• Able to communicate with Store Manager, DSD Receiver and vendors.
• Able to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift 30 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Educate guests on product attributes and guide for needs and preferences.
• Display, maintain and utilize marketing materials, signage and flyers.
• Maintain sanitation and appearance of the Beer Den/Sunmill Wines.
• Coordinate pricing and product selection with managers and suppliers.
• Train other Beer Den/Wine clerks and ensure accurate information for hosts.
• Conduct tastings in-store and for promotions.
• Comply with state laws governing sampling, sale and purchase.
• Wash and prepare growlers and fill growlers on request per standards.
• Maintain inventory of growlers, glassware and supplies.
• Announce specials and sale information over PA system.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
