Job summary

Surly Brewing Company in Minneapolis is expanding its packaging team. This 2nd shift role handles palletizing, operating fillers, and moving kegs, supporting our beer and THC production while maintaining quality standards.

Pay rate is $20 per hour with full benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, PTO) and a $3.00 per hour shift differential when applicable. Weekend shifts are not required, and overtime is limited as staffing levels are adjusted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to learn to operate downline and upline equipment.
• Complete forklift training and use powered equipment safely.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting on all machines they operate.

Responsibilities

• Palletize finished cases of beer cans and bottles.
• Operate fillers and replenish consumables.
• Load empty kegs into the automated washer and palletize full kegs.
• Operate downline and upline equipment including cartoners and depalletizers.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation functions per SOP under direction of lead.
• Monitor printed codes and report defects to operators or lead.
• Maintain line efficiency and communicate issues to maintain throughput.
