Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a meat/seafood department team member to provide excellent guest service and merchandisable selling environments. You will handle knife-ready prep, price tagging, and product rotation while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires strong interpersonal and selling abilities, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfort working in a cold retail environment. 18+ years old with team-friendly attitude preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal and selling skills.
• Ability to work well with others and interact with guests.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly.
• Able to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests and creates a selling environment.
• Prepares knife-ready products for sale (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) per standards.
• Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and seafood in sales areas.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in meat/seafood prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Ensures products are in date and of high quality and freshness.
• Communicates shrink issues to management and guest requests to management.
• Makes PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the department.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• Prepares knife-ready products for sale (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Communicates shrink issues to management.
• Communicates guest requests/concerns to management.
• Makes PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
