Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a team member for the meat and seafood department who delivers excellent guest service through selling skills and merchandising programs. You will greet guests, prepare knife-ready products, assist with receiving, pricing, and stocking, and ensure safety, sanitation, and product freshness in the meat/seafood areas.

You will also address guest requests, communicate issues to management, and perform other duties as assigned in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and selling abilities.
• Outgoing personality and guest-focused approach.
• Able to lift 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs constantly; able to work in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly greetings and interactions with guests in the department.
• Prepares knife-ready products for sale (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price).
• Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in meat/seafood prep areas and on sales floor.
• Maintains quality and freshness of products and ensures in-date items.
• Communicates shrink issues to management.
• Communicates guest requests/concerns to management.
• Makes PA announcements for sale items in meat/seafood.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
