Job summary

Sustainable Beef in North Platte, NE seeks a Kill Floor Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead maintenance on the kill floor, oversee preventive maintenance, and drive equipment reliability while complying with OSHA, USDA, and safety standards.

You will supervise a maintenance team, coordinate work orders and repairs, maintain logs and spare parts, and lead daily safety meetings to minimize downtime in a fast-paced meat processing environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in food processing or a related manufacturing setting.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, LOTO, and USDA/food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance for kill floor operations to maximize uptime.
• Supervise, train, and coach maintenance staff for safe, effective work.
• Coordinate work orders, urgent repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot conveyors, pumps, motors, and processing equipment.
• Maintain maintenance logs, PM documentation, parts usage, and records.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce plant safety protocols.
• Collaborate with production and sanitation to minimize disruptions.
