Job summary

New Angus LLC in Aberdeen, SD, seeks a Fabrication Supervisor to lead the assigned line operations, ensuring product quality, yield, safety, sanitation and staff performance on the production floor. You will supervise hourly employees, coordinate training, complete pre-operational paperwork, and maintain a clean, compliant line area, while aligning with union requirements and company policies.

Daily meetings, monthly line reviews, and ongoing follow-up coaching are expected to sustain production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• One to two years of packing-house experience required; beef-processing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fabricated beef products and applicable product specifications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate employees.
• Bilingual skills are preferred but not required when translation support is available in the line area.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned line operations to meet product quality, yield, safety, sanitation, staffing, productivity, and employee performance expectations.
• Supervise hourly employees assigned to the line.
• Maintain a safe work area and motivate employees to perform effectively.
• Ensure all products leaving the line area meet required specifications.
• Complete pre-operational paperwork and verify the line is clean and sanitized before operations begin.
• Ensure the area is properly staffed to meet production needs.
• Prepare and maintain required employee paperwork for line employees.
• Manage line productivity and employee performance in accordance with expectations established by the General Foreman, Fabrication.
• Understand and follow applicable union requirements when managing hourly employees.
• Attend daily fabrication supervisor meetings and provide operational input.
• Conduct monthly line meetings with hourly employees.
• Administer and document follow-up training for all employees on the line.
• Administer corrective action for hourly employees, from verbal warnings through termination, in accordance with company policy and applicable union requirements.
