Job summary

In-N-Out Burger, Inc. seeks a full-time FSQA Beef Technical Services Manager based in Lathrop, CA. The role oversees beef FSQA across three production facilities and reports to the FSQA Department Head. Travel between sites (20–50%) and alternate locations in Lancaster, TX or Chino, CA may be considered.

The position requires expertise in food safety, QA, lab operations, regulatory affairs, sanitation and R&D related to beef. Strong communication, leadership and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in meat operations or beef-focused facility.
• HACCP certification.
• Knowledge of USDA-FSIS and regulatory affairs.
• Beef regulatory affairs knowledge and beef food safety principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communications.
• Proven leadership and relationship-building in a team.
• Strong time management and prioritization.
• Strong computer skills incl. trending and statistical analysis.
• Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to fly commercially.

Responsibilities

• Monitor food safety and regulatory compliance of beef manufacturing.
• Oversee FSQA programs and vendor feedback on incoming materials.
• R&D of new packaging, products, equipment, and software for food safety.
• Visit suppliers' facilities to inspect processes and report findings.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company processes.
• Communicate with FSQA Department Head and Meat Ops Director on items affecting meat operations.
• Analyze process controls for opportunities for improvement.
• Perform other duties; full-time exempt role.
