Job summary

Tyson Foods in Holcomb, KS is seeking a General Manager, Carcass Merchandising to lead second shift carcass merchandising activities across beef operations. You will direct Sr Supervisors and their teams to ensure USDA grade accuracy, proper grading system integrity, inventory alignment, and timely operational communication.

This role collaborates with Production Planning, Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, USDA, and corporate leadership to drive grading accuracy, system performance, staffing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent fresh meats, carcass merchandising, grading, or plant operations experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of carcass merchandising, grading, beef plant operations, meat judging, or related fresh meats experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead second shift carcass merchandising execution to support accurate USDA grade application and product value.
• Provide leadership to Sr Supervisors and hourly team members with staffing coverage and coaching.
• Monitor grading, camera accuracy, scale processes, tagging, discounting, and reporting for USDA and company standards.
• Coordinate with Production Planning on product availability, grade projections, and inventory alignment.
• Serve as escalation lead for grading, merchandising, staffing, system, inventory, and process-related issues.
• Support audits, corrective actions, and process improvements related to grading and merchandising accuracy.
