Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a Telehealth Technology Coordinator to bring telehealth tech to the bedside, coordinate virtual visits, troubleshoot devices, and ensure a smooth experience for patients, families, providers, and care teams.

Under the Telehealth Innovation Center, you will partner with Nursing, IS, Patient Experience, and leadership to improve patient flow and expand access to virtual care. This role floats among hospitals to cover operational needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a clinical or customer-service environment.
• Ability to travel between MedStar Health hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Transport and set up telehealth equipment at the patient's bedside to support virtual consultations and related services.
• Manage telehealth platforms and coordinate patient flow while assisting patients, families, providers, and staff.
• Triage calls and telehealth orders; coordinate with IS, Nursing Informatics, and other teams to maintain equipment.
• Document visits and activities accurately and promptly; communicate updates to stakeholders; follow infection-control procedures.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to identify barriers, improve workflows, and implement enhancements for safety and access.
