TouchPoint Support Services is hiring immediately for Patient Observation Assistant roles at Ascension All Saint's Hospital in Racine, WI. This is a full-time and part-time position requiring rotating weekends and holidays.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and CPR/BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. The role involves constant patient observation under RN direction, contributing to patient safety and comfort, and supporting the nursing team in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods, with bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Remains at the bedside of the patient, unless relieved by staff.
• Assists with keeping the patient's room safe and orderly.
