Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services seeks a Patient Observation Assistant to monitor patients under RN supervision across Ascension SE Wisconsin hospital locations. The role is traveling between multiple sites with rotating schedules and a fixed pay rate of $17.50 per hour. Full-time and part-time positions available.

Training at Ascension All Saints Hospital – Racine location. Applicants with prior patient services experience preferred but not required, and willingness to work varied days, weekends,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR AED or BLS healthcare provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to travel between multiple locations and lift up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous patient services experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors assigned patient’s condition at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with regulatory requirements.
• Accepts and absorbs department and hospital education program.
• Assists other associates as necessary and responds to direction.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Provides visual and audible observation of assigned patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and unit manager. This traveling role requires flexibility to float between multiple hospital locations based on operational needs.

Training

All new hires will complete training at Ascension All Saints Hospital – Racine location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Visually and audibly monitors the assigned patient’s condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established interval.
• Honors all confidentiality and other regulatory requirements.
• Accepts and absorbs department and hospital education program.
• Assists other associates as necessary. Responds to direction as provided.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required
• Ability to travel reliably between multiple locations is required. Current CPR AED or basic life Support healthcare provider (BLS-HCP) certification required within 30 days of hire. Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods. Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
