Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate care to patients and monitors vital signs.
• Records weights/heights and document changes per unit policy.
• Assists with dressing changes, treatments, and procedures under RN direction.
• Assists with elimination needs and specimen handling within required timeframes.
• May perform Point of Care testing as applicable.
• Supports delivery of ancillary services and treatment plans.
• Notifies RN of patient status changes and maintains safety.
• Communicates clearly with the team and patients; respects cultural needs.
• Participates in emergency procedures and team activities as needed.
• Acts as a team member, assisting with non-clinical activities and feedback.
• Completes required clinical recognition and career ladder tasks.
• Demonstrates competency for one-to-one observation and EKG basics.
