Job summary

VCNY Home is seeking a Bedding Designer to create original designs for a range of bedding products, from concept to finished item. The role collaborates with design support, sales, merchandising and production to translate vision into market-ready products.

The position requires a strong portfolio in textile design, proficiency with Photoshop/Illustrator and AI rendering tools, and experience with PLM systems. On-site four days a week, with a dynamic, creative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or related field.
• 5+ years of Textile Design experience in home furnishings or fashion.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and Ned Graphics.
• Experience using AI tools to generate renderings and design mock-ups.
• Understanding of product development and production processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent color and design sense.

Responsibilities

• Create unique and original designs for wovens, embroideries, and prints aligned with brand aesthetics.
• Translate product vision into bedding designs for duvet covers, quilts, and decorative items.
• Maintain knowledge of fabrications, construction, and techniques.
• Render complete bed looks using Adobe Creative Suite and AI tools like Gemini.
• Follow development calendars to meet timelines and secure approvals.
• Collaborate with Sales, Merchandising and Production teams as needed.

The Designer is responsible for the creative design of Fashion Bedding products for a variety of retailers ranging from Mass Market to Fashion Market. The Designer works from concept to finished product while working with our design support teams.

The position works very closely with our Sales, Merchandising and Production teams

Primary Responsibilities

• Create unique and original designs for wovens, embroideries, and prints consistent with our brand aesthetic and company values.
• Help to translate our product vision into designs for bedding, duvet covers, quilts, blankets, decorative pillows and throw blankets.
• Maintain an understanding of fabrications, construction, and techniques.
• Render complete bed looks using Adobe Creative Suite and generative AI tools, such as Gemini.
• Follow the development calendar to meet timelines and work through product approvals.
• Experience in and understanding product development and production process.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to help with any product design-related projects.
• Exposure to or experience using a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in Textile Design in home furnishings or fashion/apparel

• Experience in and understanding product development and production process.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to help with any product design-related projects.
• Experience using a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
• Must manage multiple projects at once.
• Excellent color and design sense
