Advocate Aurora Health Corporate - Patient Coordination Command Center in Oak Brook Terrace, IL is seeking a full-time nurse to manage bed flow, admissions, discharges and transfers. The 0.9 position day shift with rotating start times transitions to nights, requires every other weekend and orientation on days.

The role emphasizes proactive patient placement, collaboration with ED, surgery, PACU and nursing teams to optimize throughput.

Qualifications

• RN with BSN or 1-2 years logistics experience and 2-3 years clinical experience.
• Ability to prioritize work and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with bed management systems and patient throughput processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess admissions and bed placement, coordinating with care teams.
• Maintain bed board and census data for planning and reporting.
• Collaborate with ED, surgery, PACU, cath lab and nursing to facilitate throughput.
• Support patient safety initiatives and service recovery when issues arise.
• Communicate effectively under pressure and with diverse stakeholders.
