The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an Administrative Manager for Bed Management in the inpatient operations. This role oversees administrative, operational, and financial management of the bed fleet, coordinating inventory, rentals, repairs, and return-to-service processes to improve bed availability, patient safety, and cost stewardship.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 4+ years of healthcare experience with financial management, program and project management, and data analytics.
• Experience with performance improvement is preferred.

Mansioni

• Maintains liaison with Hospital Operations, Nursing leadership, Wound Ostomy Care, Clinical Engineering, Environmental Services, and equipment vendors to coordinate bed management activities and resolve operational issues.
• Establishes and maintains a centralized, accurate inventory of hospital-owned and rented beds, including model, location, purchase date, repair history, status, and projected end-of-life date.
• Develops standardized bed lifecycle and status definitions; monitors beds available for use, in service, awaiting repair, under repair, and pending retirement.
• Conducts regular rounds and coordinates the identification, documentation, pickup, and appropriate storage of out-of-service beds, supporting environment-of-care and life-safety requirements.
• Implements and monitors a standardized repair workflow from issue identification through vendor or service-team response, repair completion, and timely return to service.
• Tracks repair turnaround time, recurring failures, and beds out of service; identifies opportunities to improve equipment availability and reduce delays.
