Job Description

Job Responsibility

• Assigns and facilitates patient bed assignments according to hospital patient aggregation.
• Accepts phone calls from attending physician offices for direct admissionsReviews specific orders that may impact bed placement (i.e.: one-on-one
  constant observation, telemetry needs, pending lab specimens, admit orders for medicine teams).
• Collects data for Zone alerts (admissions, discharges, bed demands/availability status of surge units, etc.).
• Collates data from Teletracking to provide information needed for daily bed meeting template.
• Escalates bed management problems to a registered nurse.
• Obtains and records necessary information regarding expirations to ensure accuracy and timely preparation of death certificates.

Job Qualification
