Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a Patient Placement Representative at MUHA to administratively manage the electronic placement process, including activation of patient arrivals and updating MD information.

The role also handles preadmission and admission demographics and insurance data, and acts as a liaison among registration, clinical staff and the Admit Transfer Center. Telehealth scheduling is supported.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required.
• 0-6 months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the electronic placement process including activation of patient arrivals.
• Remove discharges from the bed board and update MD change requests with patient type and attending MD.
• Serve as liaison between registration, clinical staff and the Admit Transfer Center (ATC).
• Schedule Telehealth visits and format/upload clinical documentation to the medical record.
• Support preadmission and admission demographic and insurance data processes.
