Job summary

MeBe Family in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Behavior Technician to work 1:1 with children on the autism spectrum at our Learning Center. You will help teach behavioral, social, and communication skills in a supportive, structured setting.

You will follow BCBA plans, record progress, and collaborate with Supervisors. We value empathy, reliability, and teamwork to deliver evidence-based care and make a meaningful difference daily.

Responsibilities

• Teach and nurture behavioral, social, and communication skills in 1:1 settings.
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to improve communication and play skills.
• Relay progress to BCBAs to support BCBA assessments.
• Accurately record behavior analysis and progress in Central Reach at the end of each session.
• Clock in/out and submit session notes in compliance with ABA and insurance rules.
• Keep the workplace organized, safe, and clean.
• Assist kiddos with lunch, bathroom, and diaper changes.
• Assist with projects and tasks as directed.

MeBe is a provider of evidence-based therapies for children with autism and other special needs. About What You'll Work On:

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication, mental health and behavioral challenges.

Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is described as a "developmental disorder" because symptoms generally appear in the first 2 years of life. People with ASD may face a wide range of issues, which means that there is no single best treatment for ASD. Working closely with a health care provider like MeBe Family is an important part of finding the right combination of treatment and services. (Reference, National Institute of Mental Health)

As a Behavior Technician,

• You’ll teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autismat MeBe's Learning Center.
• You’ll follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.
• You’ll relay info on your kiddos' progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.
• At the end of each session, you’ll accurately record the kiddo's behavior analysis and progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet.
• You’ll be responsible for clocking in, submitting your session notes and clocking out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.
• You’ll help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized.
• You’ll help our kiddos with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing.
• You’ll help with projects and tasks as directed by
