Job summary

MeBe is a leading provider of evidence-based therapies for children with autism, offering a development-focused environment at our learning center. As a Behavior Technician, you will work 1:1 with ke"kiddos" to develop communication, social, and daily living skills under BCBA guidance.

You will receive two weeks of paid training to pass the RBT exam, plus ongoing supervision to support your growth. Join a caring team focused on meaningful, measurable outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

• Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting for children with autism.
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to improve communication, self-help, social, and play skills.
• Relay info on children's progress to BCBAs and assist with BCBA assessments.
• Accurately record behavior analysis and progress in Central Reach after each session.
• Clock in/out and submit session notes to comply with ABA and insurance requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace.
• Assist with lunch, bathroom breaks, and diaper changes.
• Contribute to projects and tasks as directed by supervisors.

About What You'll Work On:

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication, mental health and behavioral challenges.

Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is described as a "developmental disorder" because symptoms generally appear in the first 2 years of life. People with ASD may face a wide range of issues, which means that there is no single best treatment for ASD. Working closely with a health care provider like MeBe Family is an important part of finding the right combination of treatment and services. (Reference, National Institute of Mental Health)

As a Behavior Technician,

• You’ll teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autismat MeBe's Learning Center.
• You’ll follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.
• You’ll relay info on your kiddos' progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.
• At the end of each session, you’ll accurately record the kiddo's behavior analysis and progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet.
• You’ll be responsible for clocking in, submitting your session notes and clocking out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.
• You’ll help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized.
• You’ll help our kiddos with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing.
