Job summary

MeBe Family is seeking compassionate Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in home or MeBe Learning Center settings. You will work 1:1 under BCBA guidance, record progress, and help with daily living skills.

Paid training to become an RBT, opportunities for growth, and a supportive team culture. This part-time role offers meaningful work and flexible scheduling in Texas.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • RBT/CBT certification preferred; must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you).
  • Prefer a background in child care; teaching, counseling, babysitting.
  • Ability to frequently bend, lift up to 50 lbs, squat, sit, stand, and/or run; see with prescription lenses and hear with hearing aids.
  • Previous First Aid Certified and CPR is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pediatrics or Human Development (Biology) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center clinic.
  • Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.
  • Relay info on your kiddos’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.
  • Record the kiddo’s behavior analysis and progress in Central Reach using your tablet.
  • Clock in, submit session notes and clock out to align with ABA and Insurance provider regulations.
  • Keep the workplace shipshape, safe, and organized.
  • Help with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks, and diaper changing.
  • Support Site Director and Clinical Supervisors with tasks; contribute to treatment planning.
  • Voice questions/concerns to supervisors and co-own treatment planning.
  • Build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Contribute to MeBe Family culture.

About What You’ll Work On:

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication, mental health and behavioral challenges.

  • You'll teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center clinic

  • You’ll follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.

  • You’ll relay info on your kiddos’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.

  • At the end of each session, you’ll accurately record the kiddo’s behavior analysis and progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet.

  • You’ll be responsible for clocking in, submitting your session notes and clocking out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.

  • You’ll help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized.

  • You’ll help our kiddos with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing.

  • You’ll help with projects and tasks as directed by your Site Director and Clinical Supervisors.

  • You’ll voice questions, issues and concerns to your supervisors as appropriate and take co-ownership of treatment planning.

  • You’ll help to build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.

  • You’ll positively contribute to the MeBe Family culture.

Qualifications:
  • Consistent availability from Monday through Friday. Part-time shifts available.

  • Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • RBT/ CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you!)

  • Prefer a background in child care; teaching, counseling, babysitting.

  • Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run, (without reasonable accommodations), see with prescription lenses, and hear with hearing aids.

  • Previous training in First Aid Certified and CPR is preferred

  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Ability to work with computers.

  • If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients

  • Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent- required. A bachelor’s degree in areas like Pediatrics or Human Development (Biology) is preferred.
