Job summary

Ulta Beauty, a leading beauty retailer, is seeking a General Manager to lead a single store, oversee a diverse team, and deliver top-line sales growth while ensuring exceptional guest service. You will manage operations, people, and processes with a focus on accountability and brand standards.

You will recruit and develop talent, drive performance through coaching and training, and partner with leadership to align store goals with Ulta Beauty’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years of fast-paced retail management experience.
• Financial management: drive top-line sales and manage payroll.
• Retail management: inventory monitoring and merchandising.
• Leadership: attract, develop and motivate talent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Promote accountability to meet store goals in sales, guest loyalty, payroll, and shrink.
• Drive profitability through operational excellence and expense control.
• Schedule the right associates to maximize productivity within payroll budgets.
• Address issues from financial/operational reporting and audits.
• Perform makeup applications and skincare analysis to drive sales.
• Stay informed on trends and products to better serve guests.
• Ensure attendance policy is followed by all associates.
• Hire and retain a diverse team and develop talent.
• Lead coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning.
• Provide ongoing training to maintain brand knowledge.
• Communicate enterprise strategy and set aligned team goals.
• Foster teamwork and clear direction.
• Execute Guest Engagement Leader program to drive APG metrics.
