Job summary

Ulta Beauty, the largest North American beauty retailer, is seeking a Merchandise Manager to lead store operations, drive top-line sales growth, manage inventory, and oversee a team of associates. The MM reports to the Operations Manager and focuses on performance, people, and process to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• 1–2+ years of fast-paced, retail management or related work experience.
• Proficient with basic technology (POS systems, MS Office, Apple devices).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Promote accountability to meet store goals for retail and service sales, loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and shrink.
• Drive profitability through operational excellence and expense control.
• Use forecast and payroll budgets to support scheduling and maximize productivity.
• Review and react to financial and operational reporting.
• Lead makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demos to drive sales and guest experience.
• Ensure consistent adherence to policies, dress code, and SOPs.
• Support development of associates through training and feedback.
