Job summary

Marshalls in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Store Associate to support receiving, merchandising, and customer service at our off-price retail store. You will help ensure a fast, friendly shopping experience and maintain a clean, organized sales floor.

The role requires flexibility to work nights and weekends, strong communication, and the ability to train others. Prior retail and leadership experience is preferred, with a focus on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Able to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Able to train others
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without accommodation

Responsibilities

• Executes receiving and merchandising standards and ensures efficient processing by Associates
• Delivers excellent customer experience and maintains a clean, organized store
• Trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles
• Ensures merchandise is tagged, hung, secured, and coded
• Coordinates with the Coordinator on Duty to move goods to the sales floor
• Monitors team productivity and coaches as needed
• Organizes back stock for easy replenishment and maintains signage
• Supports safety programs and complies with labor policies
