Job summary

Ulta Beauty, Inc. is seeking a Beauty Advisor to provide an exceptional guest experience, perform makeup applications, and drive sales while maintaining store standards. You will greet guests, assess needs, and recommend products and services in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a passion for beauty, solid product knowledge, and ability to work collaboratively with the team. Flexibility for days, evenings, weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Demonstrates a passion for guest service and competency for selling.
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices).
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• The BA is a champion of Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values, and should demonstrate them skillfully and consistently by performing the following duties and responsibilities of the position (as well as all other projects/duties as assigned).
• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty (including credit), omni-channel sales, and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty for the store.
• Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, answering questions, informing guests about promotions, and recommending products/services.
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges and assist with on-line orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and the guest service experience.
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while delivering on sales goals.
• Take the initiative to stay informed regarding new and existing products and services and communicate ingredients/benefits to guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app with guests on the salesfloor.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training for professional development and sales performance.
• Be knowledgeable of policies, procedures, and standards; maintain store cleanliness and organization.
