SMS group is seeking a Bearing Maintenance technician in Osceola, AR. The role involves daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and relocation of chocks, bearings, and lubrication components to ensure safe operation of steel industry machinery.

Responsibilities include operating a chock washer, cranes, reading prints for tolerances, and maintaining inspection records. The candidate will develop and manage a preventive maintenance program and train junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Bearing Maintenance tasks include daily maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and relocation of chocks and bearings.
• Must understand chock ID system and tolerances from blueprints.
• Ability to operate and read prints, and complete inspection paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and relocation of chocks, bearings, and lubrication components.
• Operate chock washer, run jib and overhead cranes, and interpret tol erances from prints.
• Create and manage PM maintenance tasks to keep machinery operational.
• Train new technicians and communicate with vendors for parts.
