Job summary

SMS group Inc is seeking a Bearing Maintenance technician in Osceola, AR. You will perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and relocation of chocks, bearings, and lubrication components to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation.

The right candidate will operate a chock washer, run jib and overhead cranes, use micrometers and gauges, understand the chock ID system, read prints for tolerances, and train new technicians. Shift flexibility and attention to PM programs are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating chock washer and cranes.
• Ability to read prints and interpret tolerances.
• Familiarity with lubrication systems such as REBS and Morgoil.
• Willingness to work shifts or be called out for repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and relocation of chocks, bearings, and lubrication components.
• Operate chock washer and jib/overhead cranes.
• Identify chock types and locations; understand chock ID system.
• Enter inspection data into RMS; maintain inspection paperwork.
• Train new technicians and support PM tasks to keep machinery operational.

• Ability to identify the different type of chocks and locations

• Understand the build-up of the different chocks to corresponding rolls
• Willingness to work shifts or be called out for repairs
• Ability to read prints and interpret the correct tolerances to be set
• Ability to fill out inspection paperwork or computer entry into RMS
• Ability to understand and repair different types of lubrication systems(REBS, Morgoil)
• Ability to communicate with vendors for replacement parts
• Ability to create/manage a chock (PM) preventive maintenance program with specific tasks needed to keep the machinery operational.

The hours are Monday through Friday 1st shift with 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. Friday will be an 8-hour day. No weekends.
