Job summary

Engineered Floors, LLC seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a shift in our Dalton, GA facility. You will manage a production team, ensure safety, quality, and on-time output while overseeing Beaming and Burnoff activities during nights and weekends as required.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED (technical education preferred), strong mechanical aptitude, and excellent communication. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and work on concrete floors; a 12-hour shift schedule is

• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Experience in weaving and slit-film or other manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand on concrete floors for long periods.
• Good verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work a 12-hour shift, day or night.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the departmental team to meet production goals and ensure safety and quality.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and proper equipment condition; participate in daily maintenance activities.
• Oversee Beaming and Burnoff activities during nights and weekends as needed.
• Monitor inventory and adjust production planning to support facility goals.
• Participate in interview and hiring processes to build the team; promote fair, open communication.

The Supervisor provides leadership during their presence in the facility to departmental team members scheduled to work in their production area and is responsible for the quality of the materials produced in the department.

• Safeguards the overall well-being of the department and its team members.
• Leads and supports the team members in achieving their agreed-upon goals.
• Meets and exceeds the agreed-upon production goals.
• Ensures that all team members have a safe and clean work area.
• Supports good housekeeping, clean work areas, and ensures good condition of the equipment.
• Leads and supports the facilities' daily maintenance activities.
• Daily interaction with the team members to motivate and train, as well as support.
• Creates an atmosphere with the supervisors that promotes fairness and open conversations on all levels
• Ensure optimal maintenance of the equipment.
• Takes corrective actions and/or shuts down the equipment if safety or conditions are in jeopardy.
• Has a basic understanding of all available equipment to guide and engage in preventive maintenance of the equipment.
• Monitors and reconciles the product added or released from inventory during the production process and shipment.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

• Responsible & accountable for quality and workmanship regarding the materials used and manufactured in the department.
• Responsible and authorized to adjust the production planning and scheduling process when it benefits the facility in reaching its goals.
• Oversee Beaming and Burnoff activities during nights and weekends, addressing issues as needed and to ensure proper performance and compliance with operational standards.
• Is involved in building their team and therefore must participate in the interview and hiring process .

Experience/Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED, Technical School or College Education preferred
• Mechanical Aptitude Required.
• Experienced in weaving and slit-film or other manufacturing processes.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Stand on concrete floor for long periods of time.
• Good Communication (Verbal) Skills
• Team Player
• Must be able to work on a 12-hour shift, day or night .

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to withstand high temperatures and work in close spaces.
• Must be able to observe all PPE rules and regulations.
