Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Beam Planning for Starlink to design and implement real-time beam forming software that powers one of the world’s largest satellite networks.

You will help ensure minimal latency and high throughput across satellites, gateways, and user equipment, contributing to a global broadband system. Responsibilities include architecture reviews, prototyping, and building deployment and testing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional software development experience; OR 7+ years of experience without a degree.
• Development experience in assembly, C, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable, real-time software that determines beams to form for low-latency, high-bandwidth satellite networks.
• Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Develop prototypes and experiments to prove key design concepts.
• Develop tools for software development and deployment, data analysis and visualization, and test execution across multiple environments.
