Job summary

Scope-Services in Bridgman, MI seeks a Beam Line Welding Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will weld steel components per procedures, read blueprints, and operate related equipment while maintaining safety and quality standards. Expect 50–60 hours weekly and a $19/hr wage with full-time potential.

Ideal candidates have welding experience, be able to pass a weld test, and bring a high school diploma or GED. Some related heavy equipment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding experience required; must pass weld test.
• Trailer assembly and/or heavy equipment manufacturing experience preferred.
• Vocational or post-secondary welding education and welding certification(s) desired.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel components with welding equipment according to procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, or work orders.
• Operate related equipment including forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, cutting torches, drills, and Air Arc.
• Read and follow job order specifications, blueprints, and procedures.
• Maintain work performance per Pratt standards and job orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow regulations.
• Understand welding symbols and diagrams; read printed material for welds.
