Job summary

Beaches in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Full Time Cook II to join the kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma with 2–3 years of cooking experience in a hotel/restaurant environment and familiarity with standard recipes, sanitation, and kitchen operations.

The role requires reading, writing and speaking English, physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Reports to the Chef in charge of the department.

Qualifications

• Any Combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• High school diploma required.
• Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
• Minimum two to three years cooking experience in a hotel/restaurant environment required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and/or as specified on guest check to ensure consistency of product.
• Checks and controls the proper storage of product, monitoring age and condition of all food items to rotate and maintain highest quality.
• Prepares daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production.
• Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes.
