Job summary

Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, A Hilton Resort & Spa, located in Carlsbad, CA, is hiring a Server to join our luxury dining team. You will greet guests, guide them through the menu, take orders, and deliver food and beverages with precision and hospitality.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of serving experience, high school diploma, strong communication, and the ability to work weekends/holidays in a fast-paced high-end environment.

Qualifications

• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Six months to one year serving experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and make a positive first impression
• Guide guests through the menu with recommendations
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay to kitchen/bar
• Serve meals and drinks promptly with presentation standards
• Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service
• Clear tables and maintain a clean dining area
• Process guest payments and handle cash transactions
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar for smooth service
• Collaborate with team to ensure exceptional dining experiences
