Job summary

The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel, Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking team members to support cabana operations and guest services. You will set up and break down cabanas and bonfires, assist with catering for large parties, and maintain cleanliness across the cabana and surrounding areas.

Ideal candidates have guest service skills, may hold a food handler card, and possess the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Set up and break down of cabanas.
• Set up and break down of bonfires.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling equipment and rentals.
• Working on general maintenance and cleanliness of the cabana and work areas.
• Stocking, taking inventory and ordering supplies.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES

• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist with catering for large parties to be as many as, or exceeding 80 people.
• Ability to understand and follow written and / or verbal instructions.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
• Ability to read English language sufficient to ascertain information from contracts and receipts.
• Ability to stand, walk and / or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
• Handle food and alcohol in accordance to food safety laws.
