Job summary

City of Huntington Beach seeks Beach Operations Assistant for part-time, non-permanent work with the Public Works Department. The role involves supporting beach maintenance tasks, including restroom cleaning and debris removal, with priority given to night, weekend, and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Some high school or related on-the-job training is required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of basic safety and tool handling.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms and public areas.
• Shovel debris from fire rings and sweep stairs by hand.
• Pick up trash and perform related duties as assigned.
• Blow stairs with a portable compressor when required.
• Work under supervision within beach maintenance operations.
