Zusammenfassung

City of North Myrtle Beach is seeking an entry level Beach Services Assistant to support daily operations on the oceanfront. You will place and remove equipment, organize chairs, umbrellas, and lifeguard stands, and perform basic repairs to maintain equipment in good condition.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have reliable transportation to the Beach Services warehouse. Prior customer service experience is preferred, and duties may include assist with off-season programs as needed.

• Organizes equipment (chairs, umbrellas, and lifeguard stands) in the Beach Services warehouse.
• Repairs chairs, lifeguard stands, umbrellas as well as various other beach equipment.
• Performs additional warehouse work as directed.
• May assist with off season programs and employment recruiting. Reports to the General Concession Manager or Beach Patrol.

Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate, though not constant, physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting or carrying objects up to 40 pounds, and pushing and/or pulling of wheeled beach carts and materials weighing up to 150 pounds. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions on the oceanfront.
