Job summary

City of North Myrtle Beach is seeking an entry-level Beach Services Assistant to support beach operations, equipment handling, and warehouse duties along the Oceanfront. You will help place and retrieve gear, assist with maintenance, and support seasonal programs.

Position requires being at least 16 years old, reliable transportation, and ability to work outdoors in various weather. Reports to the General Concession Manager or Beach Patrol; some tasks involve lifting and moving up to 40 pounds.

Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate, though not constant, physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting or carrying objects up to 40 pounds, and pushing and/or pulling of wheeled beach carts and materials weighing up to 150 pounds. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions on the oceanfront.
