Job summary

Aptly Technology is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to drive growth in IT Support, Data Center Operations, and Data & AI services within Microsoft Product Groups.

This role focuses on building relationships, managing sales cycles, and developing strategies aligned with Microsoft. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in enterprise sales and a strong understanding of IT service offerings.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales/business development experience in IT services.
  • Proven experience selling into Microsoft or similar large enterprise technology organizations.
  • Established network within Microsoft engineering, operations, or sourcing teams is highly desirable.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to drive growth of IT Support, Data Center Operations, Customer Support, and Data & AI services within Microsoft Product Groups.

This role focuses on identifying opportunities, engaging engineering and operations stakeholders across Microsoft, building a strong pipeline, and closing high-value services engagements that align with Microsoft’s product and platform priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and expand strategic relationships with engineering, product, support, and operations teams within Microsoft (including Azure, Experience and Devices, CSS, Dynamics, and internal platforms).
  • Drive the end-to-end sales cycle: opportunity identification, stakeholder mapping, solution positioning, RFP/RFQ response, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Position and sell:
    • IT Support & Managed Services
    • Data Center Operations & Infrastructure Support
    • Customer/Technical Support Services
    • Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI/ML solutions
  • Develop and execute account strategies aligned with Microsoft product roadmaps and service needs.
  • Partner with internal delivery, solutioning, and AI/data teams to create tailored, high-impact service offerings.
  • Identify opportunities within vendor consolidation, cost optimization, automation, and AI-driven support transformation initiatives.
  • Navigate Microsoft’s vendor ecosystem, procurement processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain strong pipeline hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and CRM discipline.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets while ensuring sustainable margins.
  • Build long-term relationships to become a trusted services partner across Microsoft product teams.

Note: Candidates need to have current/previous IT selling service experience like Data & AI Services, MS Cloud, Data Center & Engineering with Microsoft directly.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of enterprise sales/business development experience in:
    • IT services / managed services
    • Data center operations
    • Customer/technical support services
    • Data & AI services
  • Proven experience selling into Microsoft or similar large enterprise technology organizations.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Microsoft product ecosystem (Azure, M365, Dynamics)
    • Enterprise IT support and service delivery models
    • Data & AI service opportunities (data engineering, GenAI, automation)
  • Experience navigating large-scale procurement frameworks and preferred vendor programs.
  • Established network within Microsoft engineering, operations, or sourcing teams is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in closing multi-million-dollar services deals.
  • Strong collaboration experience across technical, legal, and operations teams.
