A new role at FMG, the BD (Broker Dealer) Migration Manager owns every migration FMG runs and the account setup operation that sits underneath it. When a group of advisors moves from one broker-dealer or compliance program to another, this is the person accountable for whether those accounts land intact, on the client's date, and correctly configured.
Migrations at FMG come in two shapes. Mass migrations move hundreds or thousands of advisor accounts at once based on dates the enterprise client sets. Single migrations, run today as broker-dealer changes, move one advisor at a time through a confidential, high-touch process where a single misstep can cost that advisor their position. The mechanics are largely the same. The difference is volume and the pressure that comes with it.
Alongside migrations, this role owns Setups: the CMS setup queue, upgrades and provisioning, downgrades and cancellations, local search fulfillment, enterprise ticket creation, and the library of roughly three hundred compliance program SOPs that governs all of it. That SOP library is the reason these functions belong together. Knowing what reseller a program needs, which agencies attach to which products, and what disclosure a given broker-dealer requires is the same knowledge whether you are migrating a book of five hundred or setting up a single new account. Consolidating this information into a maintained, teachable system is a central part of this job.
This is a people management and process management role. On the people side, you lead a team across migrations, broker-dealer changes, and setups, including offshore contract resources. You are expected to hold one-on-ones, manage KPIs, and address performance. You’ll also build a repeatable playbook, document it, train the team to run it without you in the room, and improve it after every wave.
Compensation This position offers $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Migration Delivery
FMG is building an AI‑fluent organization, and the BD Migration Manager is expected to lead adoption of these tools on their team with confidence and intention. This role sits on top of some of the most repetitive, highest‑volume work in the company: hundreds of accounts provisioned the same way, hundreds of tickets created by hand, hundreds of SOPs maintained by hand. That is exactly the work AI and automation should be absorbing, and this is the person closest to it.
The expectation is to actively look for where manual steps can be automated or assisted, to pilot those changes on your own team rather than waiting for them to be handed down, and to make the case with data when a build is worth engineering time. The BD Migration Manager's job is to make sure that philosophy is lived out in how the team works every day.
We care more about demonstrated judgment under operational pressure than a specific resume. The person who succeeds here is meticulous by instinct, comfortable owning a standard, and willing to have an uncomfortable conversation when the standard is not met.
At FMG, we believe in the wholehearted acceptance of each other regardless of our differences. We strive to foster an environment that allows everyone to contribute to our mission in our unique ways. With the belief that diversity propels innovation, we are continually finding ways to cultivate a commitment to inclusion in our employees, services, and products, as well as in the communities in which we live and work.
