Job summary

Boston Hale is recruiting a Business Development Manager for emerging companies and venture capital. The role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and involves working directly with partners to connect with founders, investors, accelerators and universities, turning market relationships into new business opportunities.

You will shape BD initiatives, build relationships across the startup and investment community, and represent the firm at industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least three years’ relevant experience in venture capital, accelerator/incubator management, or BD.
• Eight or more years’ broader relevant experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of startup culture and fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Shape BD initiatives across emerging companies, venture capital and broader transactional practices.
• Build relationships across the startup and investment community.
• Represent the firm at industry events and develop targeted sponsorships.
• Advise partners on prospects, market trends and opportunities.
• Deliver pitches, thought leadership and campaigns that raise visibility.
