Job summary

Volkert seeks an experienced Director of Business Development (AEC Industry) to support the Mid-Atlantic region, based in Camp Hill, PA or Springfield, VA. The role focuses on achieving marketing targets across VA, DC, WV, MD, PA, NJ, and DE, acting as a conduit for firm-wide knowledge and opportunities.

You will lead business development for engineering design, construction management, and plan, coordinate, and execute proposals, presentations, and market strategies with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of industry experience
• Heavy travel 3–5 days per week
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree desirable
• Familiarity with DOT/municipal standards is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead business development activities within the Mid-Atlantic region
• Assist teams in winning new business and leading capture efforts
• Develop client relationships and market strategies; manage proposals and presentations
• Lead marketing reports and market research to inform growth strategies
• Plan and coordinate trade shows, conferences, and client events
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, government agencies, and partners
