Job summary

Basalite Building Products, LLC is a major producer of concrete masonry products in the Western United States. The role involves operating production equipment, ensuring product quality, and handling blocks and pallets in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Industrial production line experience preferred.
• Forklift operation is required with Basalite forklift certification on the job.
• On-the-job training provided to perform duties and operate equipment.
• Ability to interface with automated machine operator screens.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment (splitter/grinder/saw/blaster/tumbler) safely and efficiently.
• Check blocks for quality (splits, cuts, grindings) and adjust as needed.
• Move material with a forklift to/from secondary operations.
• Read and meet secondary operations schedules; complete daily paperwork.
• Load blocks by hand when required and stack finished products on pallets.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and keep area clean and organized.
• Attend safety meetings and report hazardous conditions; maintain regular attendance.

General

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Efficient and safe equipment operation to include operation of: splitter/grinder/saw/blaster/tumbler
• Checks blocks for proper quality (splits, cuts and grindings)
• Make critical equipment adjustments to ensure finished product quality
• Operate a forklift to move material to and from applicable secondary operations
• Read and be accountable to meeting secondary operations schedule
• Complete required production paperwork for daily activities
• Operations may require: Loading block into process equipment by hand; Stacking finished product on pallets by hand.
• Properly execute daily equipment preventative maintenance tasks
• Maintain work area and equipment to be clean and clutter free per company standards
• Regularly meet with supervisor
• Attends safety meetings and abide by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected
• Predicable and Regular attendance is required
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives

QUALIFICATIONS

SALARY EXPECTATIONS

$20.00 - $23.00 Per Hour/ Depends on Experience
