Job summary

CHILD COMMUNICATION AND BEHAVIOR SPECIALISTS in California seeks a BCBA supervisor to shape the next generation of the field. The role emphasizes intentional supervision, rigorous BST, and growth of practitioners in a hybrid setting (approx. 75% remote).

You will mentor BCBAs, maintain high clinical standards, and collaborate with families and leadership. The ideal candidate holds an active BCBA, has at least two years of supervisory experience, and demonstrates BST expertise while upholding

Qualifications

• Active BCBA certification is required.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Fluent in BST and able to demonstrate it.
• Reliable transportation with a CA driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Background check, TB test within 3 weeks of hire, and current immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide intentional supervision to BCBAs and supervise BST activities.
• Invest in practitioner growth and ensure high-quality, structured supervision.
• Shape the field through mentorship and evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and leadership with clear, professional communication.
• Maintain accountability and support supervisees to prevent burnout.

You

• Active BCBA certification
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
• Passionate about mentoring the upcoming BCBAs and providing high-quality, consistent and structured supervision
• Fluent in BST and can demonstrate it, not just describe it
• Pursue current evidence-based practice independently
• Adapt your teaching to the learner in front of you
• Hold yourself accountable and extend that standard to your supervisees
• Communicate directly and professionally with families, with staff, and with leadership
• Stay in this field on purpose; you have thought about burnout and you have a plan
• Reliable transportation, valid CA driver's license and vehicle insurance
• Passes background check, TB test within 3 weeks of hire, current immunizations
