Job summary

Utah State Developmental Center in American Fork, UT is seeking a BCBA Supervisor to lead and mentor the behavior department, supervising BCBAs, BCaBAs, and trainees. You will assess client needs, develop plans, and provide clinical supervision while ensuring high-quality behavior analysis services.

The position requires BCBA certification, supervisor training, and experience with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• 8 hours BCBA Supervisor training.
• Recognized by BACB as a BCBA Supervisor.
• Certified as a BCBA and in good standing.
• 2+ years of experience with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Documented expertise in crisis intervention.
• Physical ability to participate in applying physical and/or mechanical restraints with other team members as needed for adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise behavior department personnel, including BCBAs, BCaBAs, and behavior trainees.
• Assess client needs and develops/implements plans to meet those needs.
• Identify supervisee training needs and expand clinical knowledge and skills.
• Consult on treatment plans, findings, options, and recommendations on client cases.
• Assess situations and apply interventions to prevent or resolve crises and lead the team.
• Review and sign off apprentice-level BSPs and specialized behavioral assessments.
• Supervise workload, delegating, training, and evaluating performance.
• Consult on high-acuity cases and complex challenging behaviors with tailored strategies.
• Oversee behavioral data collection systems.
• Collaborate to improve services and reduce restraints.
• Represent the behavior department in leadership meetings and governance.
