Job summary

Fall River Public Schools seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Department Head to lead and oversee substantially separate programs for students with disabilities. The role includes developing behavioral plans, supervising staff, and ensuring program quality aligned with IEPs.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's in ABA or Special Education with MA BCBA/Special Education licensure and substantial experience in education settings.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in ABA or Special Education is required.
• Massachusetts Licensure (BCBA Certification and/or Special Education Licensure).
• Preference given to candidates with substantial experience in regular and/or special education settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee substantially separate programming at assigned schools.
• Provide BCBA consultative services as determined by IEP teams.
• Case management for all students in substantially separate programs.
• Provide consistent academic and behavioral support to students and staff.
• Identify community-based partnerships to meet students' academic, transition, and social-emotional needs.
• Conduct FBA and devise behavior plans as part of evaluations for students pre-K through high school.
• Participate in school teams andSpecial Education leadership meetings as needed.
• Assist with scheduling and provide weekly updates to administrators.
• Provide consultation and professional development to colleagues and the district.
• Oversee implementation and training for curriculum used in the program.
• Serve on site evaluation teams and evaluate paraprofessionals.
