Job summary

Westbrook School Department is seeking a Contracted Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) on an as-needed basis to work with our PRE K-K team, supporting students with behavioral, emotional, or developmental challenges.

The BCBA will conduct assessments, design customized intervention plans, train staff on behavior strategies, and track student progress to ensure plans are effective across classrooms and staff teams.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree and BCBA certification are required.
  • CHRC credential is desirable.
  • Experience in academic settings is required.

Responsibilities

The Westbrook School Department is seeking a Contracted Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) on an as needed basis to work with our students and staff within our PRE K-K team.

The Position Will Work With Teachers, School Staff, And Families To Support Students With Behavioral, Emotional, Or Developmental Challenges. The Position Will

  • Conduct Assessments: Observe students to identify why specific challenging behaviors occur
  • Create Behavior Plans: Design customized, evidence-based intervention plans to help students learn positive replacement behaviors.
  • Train Staff: Coaches teachers, aides, and school administrators on how to use behavior strategies correctly in the classroom.
  • Track Progress: Measure student data over time to see if the behavior plan works or needs adjustments

The range of the hourly rate of pay is $60-$100/hr.

This is not a position in a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

A Masters degree, BCBA certification, CHRC, strong communication skills, and experience in academic settings required.
