Job summary

Lakeland Behavioral Health System seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead our adolescent residential treatment program. You will develop and implement ABA services on the Specialized Pediatric Unit, supervise staff, and train new hires while contributing to performance improvement efforts.

Excellent communication, strong experience with adolescents, and a current BCBA certification are essential; CPR and de-escalation training are also required. Flexible scheduling may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with working with adolescent population.
• Skilled and competent to provide services to patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit.
• Provide supervision to the Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Associates.
• Trains new staff on ABA techniques.
• Keeps abreast of advances in treatment and sets appropriate goals for self-improvement.
• Facilitates daily team meetings.
• Attends staff meetings and completes annual in-services.
• Provides direct services to patients on the Specialized Pediatric Unit.
• Conducts appropriate assessments including ADOS and other assessments.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Follows all hospital policies and procedures.
• Must maintain license or certification in good standing.
• Flexible schedule; possible weekends or evenings when appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides quality ABA services to the patients on theSpecialty Pediatric Unit. In addition, the BCBA serves as the professional who develops and implementsongoing services to the staff.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in the implementation of ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit
• Provides supervision to the Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Associates
• Trains new staff on ABA techniques
• Keeps abreast of advances in treatment and sets appropriate goals for self-improvement
• Facilitates daily team meetings
• Attends staff meetings as required and completes all yearly mandatory in-services
• Provides direct services to the patients on the Specialized Pediatric Unit
• Conducts the appropriate assessments including ADOS and other specific assessments in atimely manner
• Participates in performance improvement activities
• Follows all hospital policies and procedures
• Must maintain license or certification in good standing
• Flexible schedule. Possible weekends or evenings when appropriate
• Employee will be required to perform other job related duties as assigned by their supervisor

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
