Job summary

Wissahickon School District in Ambler, PA seeks a Behavioral Specialist/BCBA to conduct functional analyses and write behavior intervention plans, supporting students eligible for EBD and autism programs. You will train staff, supervise data collection, and collaborate with parents and school personnel to promote positive behaviors and inclusion.

The role serves as the district’s behavioral intervention case manager, providing ongoing consultation, and may involve participation in IEP meetings

Qualifications

• Current BCBA/BCABA certification or eligibility is required.
• Master’s Degree from an institution specializing in Behavioral Intervention.

Responsibilities

• Screen referrals for possible behavioral assessments and intervention.
• Participate as a team member in identifying social/behavioral problems.
• Design, implement, and follow-up on behavioral management programs for students.
• Plan and confer with classroom teachers concerning behavioral, social, or personal problems.
• Consult with staff on referrals for assessments and intervention.
• Conduct direct observations, data collection and clinical interviews.
• Train staff on data collection procedures.
• Analyze data to derive function(s) of behaviors.
• Graph data for reports in functional analysis assessment.
• Train staff on implementing behavioral intervention strategies.
• Provide ongoing staff observation and feedback on treatment integrity.
• Engage in data-based decision making and modify plans as needed.
• Monitor timelines for preparation of assessments and intervention plans.
• Assist with development and documentation of the intervention process.
• Monitor progress of plans to ensure student success.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Administration.
