Job summary

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for our California Active Consulting team. The role focuses on guiding behavioral interventions, coaching providers, and delivering trainings to IDD/BH professionals and community members.

You will respond to referrals, conduct assessments or supervise RBTs, and lead capacity-building efforts within provider agencies. A Master’s degree and BCBA certification are required, plus crisis de-escalation training and

Qualifications

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
• Master's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 35 hours of formal training in behavior analysis and supports.
• Two years' experience with behavior supports for IDD populations.
• Current crisis de-escalation certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Computer literacy and professional licensing as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Guide the behavioral interventions and activities of the Active Consulting team.
• Assist providers with implementation of behavior management techniques through consultation and coaching.
• Develop and deliver in-person or virtual training to IDD/BH providers and community members on best-practice crisis prevention measures.
• Respond to referrals in a timely manner.
• Complete Functional Behavioral Assessment interviews/observations or supervise RBTs.
• Participate in wraparound or consultation meetings with assessment results and recommendations.
• Assist with developing BCBA/RBT staff capacity within provider agencies.
• Review and debrief critical/safety incidents with IDD/BH providers.
• Build capacity on development, implementation, and monitoring of Behavior Support Plans.
